Privacy policy
Last updated Sun Nov 1, 2026
KiddoDays is an independent guide to kids' registration dates and birthday party prices in the Greater Toronto Area. This policy explains what personal information we collect and what we do with it. We follow Canada's privacy law for private organizations (PIPEDA) and Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).
What we collect
- Email alert sign-ups: your email address, the city you pick (optional), the page you signed up from, and the date and time you signed up.
- Contact form: your name (optional), email, the topic you pick, your message and the page you came from.
- Submit / update / advertise forms: what you type into the form, for example your name, business or program name, a link, details, and your email if you give it.
- Abuse protection: your IP address is used only to limit how many forms one address can send. It is kept as a temporary counter that expires within a day and is not linked to your email. We also keep a temporary, one-way-hashed counter per email address so one address can't be sent repeated confirmation emails.
- We don't use advertising trackers, analytics cookies or third-party pixels. We don't ask for children's information. Please don't enter any.
Why we collect it
We use your email and city only to send the weekly registration alert you asked for, matched to your area. We use contact messages and form submissions only to answer you, fix or add listings, and reply about advertising. We never sell or rent your information or share it for marketing.
What we send today
The weekly email hasn't launched yet. Right now the only email we send to subscribers is the one-time confirmation email you ask for when you sign up. If you write to us, we reply from our own inbox.
Consent (CASL) and unsubscribing
We use double opt-in: after you type in your email and press Subscribe, we send one confirmation email, and you're only added to the list when you click its confirm button. That is your express consent to receive the KiddoDays weekly email. If you don't confirm, you won't get anything else from us. Every email we send will identify us, include a way to contact us, and have a working one-click unsubscribe link. We will process unsubscribe requests within 10 business days. You can withdraw consent at any time, even before the first email, by sending us a request (see Contact).
Where it is stored
The site runs on Cloudflare (Cloudflare Workers and Workers KV). Sign-ups and form submissions are stored in Cloudflare's KV database, which Cloudflare may process on servers outside Canada (including in the United States). Cloudflare handles this data on our behalf under its own privacy and security commitments. Only the site owner can access the stored entries.
Emails are delivered by Resend (resend.com), an email delivery service that processes the recipient address and the email content on our behalf, in the United States. Messages to contact@kiddodays.com and contact-form notifications are forwarded to the site owner's personal mailbox (Cloudflare Email Routing and Google Gmail).
How long we keep it
- Email sign-ups: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. If the newsletter never launches, we will delete all stored sign-ups.
- Unconfirmed sign-ups: deleted if not confirmed within 30 days.
- Contact messages and form submissions: up to 12 months after we've acted on them, then deleted.
- Rate-limit counters (IP): about one hour.
Access, correction and deletion
You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Send the request through our contact form (pick “Privacy request”) or email contact@kiddodays.com, and include the email address you signed up with. We will reply within 30 days.
Contact
For privacy questions, unsubscribe or deletion requests, email contact@kiddodays.com or use our contact form and pick “Privacy request”.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date above. If a change affects how we use your email, we will tell subscribers before it takes effect.
